Diane and I had the opportunity to ski at the Sugar Bowl condo of her cousin Linda.  We stayed at this little place last fall when it was still pretty warm.  Since the, hardly as snow flake had fallen until the week before we returned.  Lots of snow everywhere made this a winter wonderland.

Spokane in Winter PDF Print E-mail

Diane and I spent a wonderful week in Spokane visiting the Olson family: my sister Jennie, her husband Craig and their three beautiful kids: Kaylee, Tallon and Lindsey. 

The week before our arrival had dropped the greatest amount of snow of recent memory.  As much fun as it was for us, it was a burden for the locals.  It was beautiful as it was a challenge.  Snow everywhere!  Three lane roads down to two or fewer (traffic!).  Fallen tree limbs and rooftops.  Scenery to hold a stare.  Great times with the family!  What a wonderful time we had!

New Academy of Sciences PDF Print E-mail

Over the weekend, Diane and I visited the new California Academy of Sciences.  It just reopened after a complete five-year reconstruction and all I can say is "WOW!"  It was well worth the wait.
